This might be a first for me. We actually did so much ministry that the Haitians feel asleep! Thanks to Pastor Jarrod, Duane and H-town Masters Commission for making such a great impact in Haiti. We did everything from Kids Clubs to Youth Ministry to Sewing Business to House Construction to Widows Care. A highlight for me was the joke on how many missionaries does it take to remove a splinter in one of the girls fingers. It was like major outpatient surgery right in the middle of Haiti. I can’t wait to see all of our Houston friends back in the mountains again!
It’s harvest time. Yea…yea..I know. You expect to hear that in September. But here in Haiti, the crops are planted and harvested in rainey and dry seasons. So how is it possible that it is dry season in Haiti now and we have beans as long as my hand? Because of the irrigation system Acts 29 has installed in the entire Ropissa Valley! All the surrounding mouintains are brown and dry. But, the valley in Ropissa is lush green, full of vegetables, and fruit of every kind. When the rains do come in April, a new harvest will be ready to be planted and our water pumping system can take a break. Thank you for making a miracle take place in a valley back in the mountains of Haiti.
